DIMAX TYTON POLYBOSS Sleeving

DIMAX TYTON POLYBOSS Sleeving has been used in Australia since 1966 as the principle and most cost effective means of external protection for ductile iron pipe in aggressive soil. Exceeding AS3680 requirements, over 30,000km of the loose polyethylene sleeving has been applied across the country. POLYBOSS Sleeving provides the assurance of long term performance and that the pipeline will be carrying water for a 100 years and more.

FEATURES

  • Impact resistance: greater than 900g on weathered film
  • Tear resistance: greater than 25N on weathered film
  • Ultimate tensile strength: minimum 50N on weathered film
  • Elongation: minimum 100% on weathered film
  • One-tenth the cost of barrier coatings
  • Use of the Linear Polarisation Resistance (LPR) method – a special electro-chemical soil testing technique, quickly determines the aggressivity of the soil by measuring its polarisation resistance.
