DIMAX TYTON XCEL Z+

DIMAX Z+ is a factory applied, external ACTIVE corrosion protection system for Ductile Iron Pipe. It will extend the service life of your pipeline and reduce on-site handling saving you TIME and MONEY by eliminating the requirement for polyethylene sleeving.

No longer is corrosion protection dependent on careful and thorough site application of PE Sleeving by installation contractors. Being a factory applied corrosion protection system, Z+ is quality assured through controlled automated application and in line measurement and testing covered by ISO9001 certified quality management systems.

Internally the centrifugally spun, Sulphate Resistant cement lining works seamlessly with the Ductile Iron to protect and enhance hydraulic efficiency. It can be supplied with an added Seal Coat which delivers additional protection to inhibit the leaching of lime where very aggressive, soft waters of low hardness (total alkalinity <30mg/L) or high dissolved C02 are being conveyed.

Exclusively featuring the TYTON® push-fit joint, a simple and robust and provides high flexibility in both application and installation. For a reliable and simplae instalaltion, in any weather condition.

Available in Class PN35 and PN30/25 DIMAX XCEL Z+ matches the maximum flange table rating of the most common water industry applications and provides a cost effective solution for lower pressure applications.

PN35 provides peace of mind considering water hammer rogue surges, cyclic stresses, varying soil loads, unpredictable traffic loads, and all unforeseen rigours of a pipe system in construction, operation and maintenance. Beam strength, heavy duty ring stiffness and critical buckling resistance are maintained across the entire size range

FEATURES

THE ACTIVE PROPERTIES OF Z+

The DIMAX Z+ coating system benefits from the 'active' properties of the Zinc-Aluminium-RareEarth alloy when in contact with the soil in that it:

Provides a long term barrier by forming a stable all-round protective layer (zinc hydroxides) covering the entire surface of the buried pipe;

Restores the protective layer at points where it has been slightly damaged (impacts during transportation, scrapes when backfilling) through the galvanic effect between the exposed iron and the zinc around the damage.

Zinc Aluminum has long be used in the civil industry as an effective corrosion protection system. Dimax Z+ further improves on this traditional formula to bring you the most
advanced corrosion protection system available. Dimax Z+ has been engineered with a small percentage of rare earth metals to withstand Australia’s aggressive soil conditions.

This unique Zinc-Aluminum-Rare Earth Alloy enhances the galvanic effect that standard Zinc Aluminium creates to actively protect the pipe.
